This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how SDSS ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use the R&D Workbench, SDSS Agri, and related websites and services (collectively, the "Services").
We process personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, including the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). Please read this Policy carefully before using the Services.
Article 1 — Scope & Definitions
"Personal information" means information related to an identified or identifiable natural person, recorded electronically or otherwise.
This Policy applies to account registration, subscription management, AI-assisted features, agricultural field services, data authorization workflows, and customer support across web and mobile clients.
Article 2 — Information We Collect
- Identity & account: mobile number, verification codes, organization affiliation (if applicable), and role assignments within team or institute accounts.
- Profile: nickname, avatar, language preference, and optional contact details you provide.
- Service usage: conversation prompts and outputs, project files metadata, capability mode selections, token consumption, subscription tier, billing records, and audit logs required for compliance.
- Agricultural & field data (with consent): images uploaded for pest diagnosis, soil indicators, voice recordings for agri Q&A, and authorization/consent records.
- Device & technical logs: device model, operating system, app version, IP address, crash reports, and security event logs.
Article 3 — Purposes of Processing
We use personal information to authenticate users, deliver and improve the Services, enforce subscription entitlements, prevent fraud and abuse, fulfill legal obligations, and respond to support requests.
Where required by law, we obtain separate consent for sensitive processing such as field imagery or cross-organizational data sharing.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Article 4 — Storage, Retention & Security
Data is primarily stored on servers located in the People's Republic of China. We apply access control, encryption in transit (TLS), segregation of duties, and periodic security assessments.
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with law, or resolve disputes, unless a longer period is required by regulation or your organization contract.
Article 5 — Sharing & Third Parties
We may share information with trusted processors including SMS gateways, payment providers, cloud infrastructure vendors, and AI model API providers, strictly under contractual confidentiality and data-processing terms.
We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or competent authority, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users and the public.
Article 6 — Your Rights
- Access and correction of profile information within the product.
- Withdrawal of consent for optional data processing, subject to service limitations.
- Account deletion and personal data export requests via written application.
- Complaints to our privacy contact or relevant supervisory authorities.

Article 7 — Minors
The Services are intended for users with full civil capacity. If you are a guardian and believe a minor has provided personal information without consent, please contact us to delete such data.
Article 8 — Policy Updates
We may revise this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the website or in-product. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
